Macaroni Grill (minus the macaroni)

Macaroni Grill is probably one of my more favorite restaurants. It has a great atmosphere, which to me, is one of the main things I look for in a restaurant, besides the food. The bar area is fun and people are actually friendly- I think the great food has something to do with it. 🙂 TIP: Sit in the bar area, but at the high tables- they cover them with paper and supply you with crayons- which is even fun as an adult and a great way to entertain kids as well.

Macaroni Grill is an Italian restaurant, but don’t get confused with the name, they don’t really serve macaroni and cheese (except for as an appetizer  bite). If it’s your first time going or if you are looking for something that maybe you haven’t tried yet- go for the Mama’s Trio- Chicken Parmesan, Lasagna Bolognese and Chicken Cannelloni. You get to try three different dishes and you get pretty good serving sizes for the price. You could probably share this dish with someone as well, if you have a small stomach like me. Most of the dishes are between $10-$20, which is about average for a restaurant nowadays. Overall, I would say split an appetizer and the Mama’s Trio to save even more money. Speaking of saving money…. TIP: Sign up for their e-club on their website and save $5 off your meal. Check out their Twitter site for more deals. Can’t really get any better, right?? Needless to say, I give this one a TRY IT OUT!
